I create relief paintings using acrylic paint, plaster, and joint compound on sheetrock, building surfaces through washy layers of paint and three-dimensional elements such as plaster embossings and casts of my own body. The work often incorporates ritualistic components—including functional incense and candle holders—allowing each piece to be activated rather than simply viewed.

My work does not depict nature; it behaves like nature—layered, accretive, slow, and interdependent. Through relief painting and sculptural objects that incorporate architectural materials and bodily casting, I explore the human experience as a lived condition: an understanding of the body as inseparable from its environment, shaped by mutual influence rather than opposition.

Built through cycles of addition, erosion, and repair, the work mirrors organic systems in which form emerges over time through pressure, material resistance, and relational forces. Through this process, I translate interior emotional and intellectual experiences into a material practice that transforms an often overwhelming world into one that is meditative, coherent, and meaningful.
